Domaine: biology / Cyanobacteria

Architects of earth's atmosphere

Domaine: art / Life Support System

Life Support Systems - Vanda is an attempt to analyze electrical signals from the vanda hybrida orchid, and apply language modeling techniques to these signals in a computer. The result is a virtual model, which continues to generate similar signals long after the original orchids are gone - a kind of computerized longevity.

Domaine: multi-domain representation / Superstructure

A superstructure is an extension of an existing structure or baseline. (...) The word itself is a combination of super (Latin for above, in addition) and structure (also from Latin meaning to build, to heap up). (ie wikipedia.org)

Trois sites sont sélectionnés sur www.visualcomplexity.com

http://www.ucmp.berkeley.edu/bacteria/cyanointro.html de University of California Museum of Paleontology

Description

I chould choise three websites from www.visualcomplexity.com, and argument my choise. So I have selected:

http://www.ucmp.berkeley.edu/bacteria/cyanointro.html of University of California Museum of Paleontology

http://www.westerplatte.net/main/main_fs.html of Mateusz Herczka

http://www.theverymany.net/ of Marc Fornes

While exploring the homepages I remarked that three of them seems similar to me by the images. It was for sure the result of the assotiative meaning because the first image - the colony of bacteries - make me think about the naturals structures, for example the world of plants ; also the third image, the strange objects like the leave's structure, or lung's strucure. The keywords approach each of the choised pages even more: Architects of earth's atmosphere/Life Support System/A superstructure

Lung - plants - oxygen's fabrication/consommation

Structure - Global - Life's conditions
